The clients wanted to turn a third floor guest bedroom into a master bedroom and master bath. The space already had two skylights, but the ceiling was oppressively low.

In the new design, the bedroom in the front, is separated from the bathroom in the back, by a middle zone which contains the WC and clothes closets. The ceiling was raised to follow the roof line, and the structural collar ties were exposed. The bathroom has a large bath and separate shower, and is filled with natural light.
